Sarah Silverman is an American stand-up comedian, actress, singer and writer. She was born on December 1, 1970, in Bedford, New Hampshire, the USA to Beth Ann and Donald Silverman. Sarah graduated from The Darryfield School in Manchester in 1989 and attended New York University for a year.
Sarah performed for the first time as a stand-up comedian in Boston at the age of 17. She described her performance as awful. After this, she joined the 1993-94 season of Sunday Night Live for 18 weeks as a writer and featured player.
Sarah made several TV program guest appearances where she played a mixture of comic and serious roles. In 2005, she released a concert film, Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic, based on her one-woman show of the same name.
